Why is SKY important?
Today, middle schoolers are having experiences that were common only with high school students 15 years ago. Threats of violence, availability of drugs and alcohol, and the pervasiveness of sex and pornography are the sad new norm. Middle schoolers are also in the process of moving from being family-centered to friend-centered, and experiencing tremendous changes in many areas. As they face this time of life, they have real questions and want real answers. SKY offers a safe space for middle school students to build life-giving friendships, ask their questions, serve others, and most of all strengthen their relationship with God.
